You're so luminous, very charming!
I can relate to the pain of Insomnia, but I feel a little better for I can sleep but I just wake up here and there, so it's never good sleep :(

I am sending you lots and lots of fairy healings, may they help you feel more serene and have a wonderful sleep with many magical dreams!

Bright blessings***

I'm sorry to hear that ashwagandha is not the answer. Because now I have to offer a second piece of advise and I'm not sure if it is appropriate. If not please pretend I never said a thing :)

My insomnia only stopped being a nightmare when I allowed it to tell me about the things I refused to think about during the day. It would sometimes take an evening or two before I was tired enough to be honest with myself. Sometimes there was an action I could take to make things better and sometimes it was enough just to realise how freaked out and sad I was feeling and that there was no need to feel like I was puposefully refusing to come up with the answer because this one I cannot control even though I really, really want to.

Michelle at la vie en rose wrote a beautiful post on a similiar theme. http://asweetlife.typepad.com/la_vie_en_rosea_sweet_lif/2007/01/spc_resolutions_1.html

I hope you find the peace you need to let go into sleep.

Wonderful photo! Here's my no sleep story: I was addicted to Ambien for a year, and wanted to get off it. I couldn't sleep unless I took it, but it didn't feel like a real sleep when I did. I've never been so tired. My acupuncturist recommended a sleep aid which might be useful for you to try: Amber Dreams made by shamanictonics.com . You have my sympathies, I hope you find something that works for you!

Hel - believe it or not my \"associate\" is studying to be an ayurvedic practitioner. She has me on quite an interesting regimen of herbs and whatnot. Ashwagandha is one of the things she has me take every day.

Try ashwagandha http://www.allayurveda.com/herb_month_february2006.htm

As I'm not sure if it will be strong enough if you are used to sleeping tablets, try it first for an afternoon nap.

I used to be a hectic insomnic. Ashwagandha helped a lot.
